About Melissa

Melissa is a criminal defense attorney and former public defender with extensive courtroom experience representing individuals facing serious criminal charges. She is deeply committed to standing beside clients during some of the most challenging moments of their lives and understands how overwhelming the justice system can feel.

Before becoming an attorney, Melissa worked as a social worker, a background that informs her compassionate, client-centered approach to advocacy. She combines strong legal representation with genuine empathy, taking the time to listen, explain the process clearly, and develop strategies tailored to each client’s circumstances.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with family and friends, cheering for Alabama football, and trying to convince her puppy, Keke (affectionately known as Nugget) to sit and stay. Nugget often requires the defense services of Kreimer Law.
